    Pre-employment screening prevents resume fraud by verifying the applicants' previous education and employment. Additionally, pre-employment screening can identify prospective employees with a history of criminal offences.

Services offered

The Personnel Integrity Management Service includes the verification of qualifications as a minimum requirement for employment screening. A basic record clearance will include the following services:

  • Criminal Record Centre Inquiries
  • Credit Bureau Inquiries (ITC / Experian)
  • S-Ratings (If Applicable)
  • Other Fraud database Inquiries, including SAFPS
  • Validation of qualifications and other documents e.g. ID documents and Drivers Licenses. 

The turnaround time for the Basic Record Clearance is 4 working days, excluding Fridays.

Clearance Statuses

Reasons for refusal of record clearances may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Murder or attempted murder
  • Robbery, including armed robbery
  • Fraud (Including Fraudulent Qualifications)
  • Rape
  • Theft or shoplifting
  • Malicious damage to property
  • Assault with intent to do grievous harm
  • A pattern of financial judgements
  • Dishonesty (REDS)

Reason for a clearance being issued conditionally may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Negative listings on one of the credit bureaux
  • Criminal Record for a minor offence (Depending on the position applied for)

Reason for a clearance being issued may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • All enquiries are clear
